GRIEF IN YELLOW, BLACK, AND GREEN (2024)
"During my recent trip to Jamaica, I visited my late father’s family in Hopewell. Their
home, once always under renovation, was now complete. It felt empty. Missing the
laughter, domino games, and familiar faces, the past eight years, many passings
have affected my family. The home now holds an air of grief, yet it also reflects
resilience. Despite the losses, my family continues to smile and find joy. This land
embodies both sorrow and strength, honouring memories, grief, and the joy left in
the home."
